Will 2021 Have The Answer?

shows us asking questions People wondering the answer to a question

By now everyone throughout the country has experienced the effects of the Covid-19 Pandemic.  The impact the virus has had on us has been both physical and emotional.  Did you get the virus? Do you know someone that tested positive? Did you help stop the spread? Were you able to quarantine? How did this affect you?

We were all so hopeful the quarantine would be over by the year's end.  Here we are in 2021, early March, almost a year later, and we are only just getting the opportunity to be vaccinated.  But even that has become a struggle and the supply is short.  So now we ask, how can I get vaccinated? Throughout the United States, the criteria for vaccination eligibility is determined by each state, with the majority vaccinating seniors first. According to the statistics, the elderly and individuals with certain health conditions have had the highest “Loss of Life” risk.  Although we have heard of losses to persons out of those categories.

Speaking as a business owner, limiting the spread of employees and customers has been a task. As a restoration company heavily involved with the disinfection process to many businesses and local residents, the exposure is almost guaranteed. And the ability to quarantine was limited.  Quarantining as a Mother, having to distance yourself from your family just to keep them safe. Having to watch your children manage through their everyday life with such outrageous restrictions and all without the assistance of others is difficult because helping them would only put them at risk. As a Grandmother, not seeing the grandchildren has been the hardest thing any grandparent could ever be confronted with.  The bonds we create by physical touch, the ability to share experiences, all lost. But luckily, technology has allowed creative ways to commutate and remind them we are still here.

So, again we ask, when will this be over? Will we ever get back to normal? Will we remember what normal is? Will we be questioning 2022?
