What is a Storm?

10/18/2021 (Permalink)

The word "storm" has several meanings and can be used differently depending on the phrase. The common term and definition and the one most commonly know by SERVPRO is weather related, such as an event causing strong winds and usually rain, thunder, lightening and snow. Storms such as Hurricanes and Tropical storms are given names while others like Tornadoes are ranked by numbers.

Additional definitions are a tumultuous reaction, an uproar or controversy. A violent or noisy outburst of a specified feeling or reaction. It can also mean to move angrily or forcefully in a specified direction. And finally to suddenly attack and capture a building or place by means or force.  Hopefully you don't have to encounter a storm of any kind, but if its weather related we here at SERVPRO are ready to calm the storm that has overtaken your property.
